This time, though, instead of pushing objects and changing the rules of reality, you’re pushing tax documents in a brief comic relief exercise.That’s right, the white critter is aptly named Dad files his taxes.

this new game, Available for free on itch.io (Windows only), task is to help smol cat-dog complete their taxes. Just one problem, though: the deadline for submissions is tonight! You’d better get Dad’s paperwork done while you still have time. What does this look like in practice? Basically, you’re forging Baba’s signature on a bunch of legal documents, which I’m sure is a criminal offense, but hey! The government doesn’t know what’s going on, you better not tell them! Besides, Baba is just a little guy, and the game tells you right from the start that reading and writing aren’t Baba’s strong suits.
Once you’ve filled out exam papers filled with legalese and multiple choice questions like “What is a cloud made of?” and “What is emptiness?”, you’ll be submitting your thesis to a purple-spotted guy who’ll ask a simple question: “What’s a tax?” Waste of time, man. Total waste of time. You’re also graded on how well your signature matches Baba’s, which is pretty ironic considering the creature doesn’t have real hands. But I digress. In all, Dad returns tax It takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Although not the same game, Dad returns tax Reminds me of Snoozy Kazoo’s Carrot boy tax evasion. Maybe it’s the fact that both games have “taxes” in their titles, which is giving me the creeps as we get closer to tax season. The annual act is a nuisance in itself and often becomes a real-life conundrum. Now that I help them, maybe Dad can help with my taxes, but honestly, I’m not holding my breath. Still, if you’re looking for something short and sweet to check out, Dad returns tax before the rush floodgates open.
