Ambitious WWE Superstar Ricochet is admired by fans for his intelligence and work ethic in the ring. However, he doesn’t seem to be too fond of the online fans who are orchestrating Cody Roode’s WrestleMania event.
Cody Rhodes is expected to compete in the main event of WrestleMania 40 against tribal leader Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship. That belief only grew stronger with his victory at the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, and was directed at Reigns after the victory.
However, this week’s SmackDown changed the game as Roode did not choose Roman Reigns as his opponent. Then came the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and it was clear that WWE was heading towards the biggest dream showdown of all time in Philadelphia between two WWE Superstars.
Since then, the internet wrestling community has shown tremendous support for The American Nightmare, while also being flooded with a ton of negative and angry comments about The Rock and WWE as a whole.
Ricochet noticed the whole situation and expressed his opinion to his X. He mentioned that while he is Cody Rhodes’ biggest supporter, the internet wrestling community is a toxic place, pointing out their recent behavior.
“First of all, I want to say, there is no bigger supporter of Kody than me, just ask @SamanthaBomb Second, you guys let me know how toxic IWC is, haha. “
Fans are actively expressing their desire to see Cody Rhodes take center stage at WrestleMania instead of The Rock, and see if that impacts WWE’s current plans for this year’s Showcase of the Immortals), which will be a lot of fun.
