DOCX Webinar: Join the USPTO for a training webinar on how to file a DOCX through the Patent Center. Sign up for the next training scheduled for February 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 27 and 29 at: uspto.gov/about-us/events/patents-docx-filing.
During the training, the e-Commerce Modernization (eMod) team will conduct demonstrations using the Patented Center training model. Each session takes approximately one hour and includes time for questions and the opportunity to practice DOCX archiving using training mode.
After registering, you will receive instructions for joining the webinar via email prior to the session. Applicants are encouraged to use the Patent Center training mode to practice DOCX filings without saving or storing data to the USPTO system.
Beginning January 17, new non-provisional utility patent applications filed in a non-DOCX filing format containing a description, claims, and abstract will incur a surcharge. Applicants still have the option of providing a backup PDF or secondary PDF version of their application and its DOCX version.
