REPUBLIC, Mo. — Residents of Republic and Clever are about to get some major upgrades to their internet service.
CableAmerica announced a $3.3 million construction project to upgrade high-speed internet and meet the connectivity needs of two cities, according to a news release.
Republic will receive approximately 32 miles of new fiber optic and 22 miles of coaxial cable for its infrastructure. Clever will receive more than four miles of new fiber optics and approximately two miles of coaxial cable from the project.
“CableAmerica is committed to supporting the region’s continued growth and economic development by delivering fast, reliable internet service that keeps customers connected to what matters most,” said Travis Harr, general manager of CableAmerica. “These infrastructure investments will enhance connectivity for residential and business customers, making everyday tasks like work, school, streaming or gaming more seamless.”
CableAmerica expects the upgrade to be completed by the end of 2024.
