The USPTO Eastern Regional Outreach Office is located at the USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. It is for Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island Services are provided in the states, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
Like other regional offices, the Eastern Regional Office offers many services, including attending events, consulting with on-site patent and trademark experts, viewing Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, and more.
Elizabeth Dougherty, Eastern Region Outreach Director, is responsible for executing the strategic direction of Kathi Vidal, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Doherty actively engages with the community and ensures USPTO initiatives and programs are appropriate for the unique industry and stakeholder ecosystem of the Eastern United States.
The USPTO recently announced that it will be opening a new Community Outreach Office in Strafford County, New Hampshire, serving northern New England and approximately 500 miles northeast of the Eastern Regional Outreach Office.
