Last November, I took a big step and bought Apple’s AirPods Max. After countless debates with my friends about whether I should buy this $500 pair of headphones, I can happily say that I don’t regret my decision. As a lifelong Apple user, AirPods Max work perfectly with all my Apple devices.

By detaching the earcups from the headband, you can clean the headphones without damaging the speakers. As someone who regularly spills stuff on just about everything I own, being able to easily clean my AirPods Max gives me peace of mind.

In short, between class, writing, and getting to work, it’s nice not to have to worry about taking an extra step throughout the day, and I appreciate not having to constantly reconnect my headphones. No matter how basic it looks, it’s pretty good, there are no third-party apps, and everything is seamlessly integrated into the Apple ecosystem. While I love my Bose Noise Canceling 700 headphones and the Bose app has EQ capabilities, I’m glad the Max has them all.
