At today’s Samsung Unpacked 2023 event, the company launched the Galaxy Book3 series of laptops in addition to the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. The latest flagship PC series includes Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Book3 Pro 360, and 14-inch and 16-inch Book3 Pro. Samsung is touting its new offering in mobile devices as “the ultimate PC for Samsung Galaxy users looking for seamless multi-device connectivity and peak computing power.”
Samsung embraces the idea that people today are looking for more ways to integrate the devices they own. With this philosophy in mind, the Galaxy Book3 series delivers an intuitive and familiar connected experience. Of course, this means more ways to use a Galaxy smartphone or other Android phone with the Galaxy Book3 laptop.
Link to Windows/Microsoft Phone Link software includes all new mobile productivity features, allowing users to seamlessly connect their phones to their PCs across operating systems. The feature allows options such as continuing a web session launched on the smartphone to the PC. For example, if someone starts looking for new car prices on the new Samsung S23 smartphone, they can move them to the new Book3 Ultra and continue the search.
For those who use multiple devices, Samsung’s multi-control feature allows users to control PCs, Galaxy Tabs, and now Galaxy smartphones through the keyboard and trackpad of the Galaxy Book3 series. This enables copying, pasting, or dragging and dropping between devices, while the second screen turns the Galaxy Tab into an extra monitor. This innovative concept has content creators in mind, who find themselves capturing content on multiple devices and streamlining the entire production process.
Speaking of power, the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is ready to take on any task at hand. Ultra features the latest 13th generation Intel Core i7/i9 processors, as well as the powerful new NVIDIA RTX GeForce 4050/4070 laptop GPU. The Ultra can be configured with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage, which should make content creation and gaming on the Ultra incredibly satisfying.
The remaining three Galaxy Book3 versions are available with 13th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics cards. Each comes with 8GB/16GB/32GB LPDDR5 RAM and SSD storage options of up to 1TB.
All four devices have the same port layout, with two Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 1.4 ports on the left side of the device and a microSD and headphone/microphone port on the right.

The Galaxy Book3 Series Dynamic AMOLED 2X display takes full advantage of all the original features found throughout the series. The screen has 3K (2880×1800) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and VESA ClearMR and DisplayHDR TRUE BLACK 500 certification. In addition, depending on viewing needs, the Galaxy Book3 Pro series is available in 14-inch and 16-inch displays. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra and Pro 360 are only available in 16-inch models.
Audio on the Galaxy Book3 series is even more refined, with a new four-speaker system that produces clear, highs and rich bass. Hear clearly on conference calls with studio-quality dual microphones and enable AI noise reduction to block background noise.
Business users will be happy to know that Samsung Knox will be available on all Galaxy Book3 devices. This is Samsung’s defense-grade security platform that works with advanced, multi-level security features that meet Microsoft Secure Core PC requirements. All four devices also come with a fingerprint power key for added security.
Furthering the company’s efforts to protect the planet for future generations, the Galaxy Book3 series features a lightweight, sleek, flat design made from recycled plastic using discarded fishing nets from the ocean, while eliminating all in-box plastic.
The Galaxy Book3 Ultra will be available in a 16-inch graphite color version. The Galaxy Book Pro will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions, with graphite and beige color options. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 will be available in a 16-inch size, support 5G connectivity options, and also come in graphite or beige.
The Galaxy Book3 Ultra starts at $2,199.99, the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 starts at $1,469.99, the Galaxy Book3 Pro starts at $1,219.99, and the Galaxy Book3 360 starts at $1,199.99. All four Galaxy Book3 devices are available for pre-order and shipping starting today. February 17, 2023.
