You know good times are coming when Pedro Pascal becomes popular. Or okay, more went viral because he’s been living pretty much free of charge in the internet’s collective mind since at least his on-screen appearance as Prince Oberyn Martell — you know, back in 2014, when game of Thrones not bad.
This time, Pascal’s photos are going viral on various social media as his look at the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards was nothing short of That OKBecause of his amazing acceptance speech, of course, but let’s all be honest and admit that the fit really is something.
Let’s sort out the facts first.Pascal was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Joel in HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama at the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on February 24, 2024 the last of us. He walked on the red carpet wearing a shocking white shirt, unbuttoned, with curly hair and shoulders as broad as a refrigerator.
Of course, when the first photo of Pascal on the red carpet appeared on the social media platform that used to be Twitter, the internet – of which I am an active participant myself – predictably went into a frenzy.
While many hot photos of extremely handsome celebrities have made the rounds over the years, I love that the reaction to these specific photos of this particularly handsome actor has mostly taken the form of people immediately casting him into a whole bunch of different characters. I mean, Fran Drescher himself said he looked like a bluff.
Here is a collection of some of the best ideas floating around the internet.
First and foremost, as these pictures burned onto my eyelids, this image also popped into my head, that this man needed to be chosen Instantly Play as Don Diego de la Vega and don Zorro’s mask, hat and cape.
Then, perhaps because the shirt Pascal wore at the event was so similar to the shirt our collective beloved poet is famous for in period dramas, there were calls for him to become the next Mr. Darcy.
Honestly, why stop at Mr. Darcy? He would make a great Colonel Brandon. Or Captain Wentworth.
Then, you have to admit that the white shirt and dark pants combo screams Prince Eric.
Despite the differences of opinion, we can already draw a very simple conclusion, that is, people want more Pascals in everything.
