The Tecno Pova 6 Pro has been officially launched, and it follows the game plan of its predecessor – it’s a gaming-oriented phone with an interesting design and impressive specs for the price.
Tecno Pova 6 Pro is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 6080 chip, paired with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM. The chip is an octa-core unit with two 2.4GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55s compute units. Mali-G57 MC2 handles graphics.
The Pova 6 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display on the front with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Pova 6 Pro is equipped with a large 6,000mAh battery (1,000mAh more than its predecessor) and supports 70W charging and 10W reverse charging.
Whether it is meteorite gray or comet green, Pova 6 Pro adopts a translucent design that Tecno calls Dynamic-Tech Design. There’s a photoetched precision texture underneath the phone’s transparent back, as well as a series of LEDs called Dynamic Light Effects.
Dynamic-Eye surrounds one of the three lenses in the camera array, as well as the dynamic light effect itself (a propeller-shaped LED strip). There are 210 LED lights and 9 lighting modes as well as 101 user-defined effects to choose from.
While we’re at the back, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro has three cameras, but only one actually makes a meaningful contribution – a 108 MP unit that doubles as a 3x zoom (as well as up to 10x digital zoom). The other rear units are a 2MP depth sensor and an “AI camera”. There’s a 32 MP selfie shooter on the front, with its own dual-tone LED flash.
Tecno Pova 6 Pro comes with a 70W charger, USB cable, protective case and SIM card ejection tool.
