In addition to launching its new flagship smartphones Mi 14 and Mi 14 Ultra globally, the brand also took the stage during MWC 2024 to launch some interesting wearables such as the Mi Watch S3. The smartwatch has a round design with two buttons on the right side (similar to what we saw on the Watch 2 released during the event).
Watch 3 has 1.43-inch AMOLED screen With over 180 free watch faces available. The casing is made of aluminum, and the brand claims that the battery can last up to 15 days on a single charge (up to 5 days without AOD enabled, and up to 5 days with AOD enabled).
In terms of operating system, the machine is equipped with HyperOS, which provides more than 150 sports modes (including ten different running modes). It can also perform health monitoring, with a 12-channel module to track heart rate.
A cool feature is that users can operate the watch with one hand using wrist movements – flipping and flicking the wrist can be used to reject calls, NFC payments (currently only compatible with Mastercard terminals), check weather information and take photos. Take photos on your phone using Bluetooth.
Availability and pricing
We’re still not sure if Xiaomi will bring this wearable to the U.S., but if you’re interested in importing it, it’s available in Europe for €149 (about $161). The watch comes standard with a black/silver bezel and Viton strap, with additional bezel and strap colors (Ocean Blue, Two-tone Ceramic, Chrome Yellow, and Rainbow) sold separately.
