OPPO released its latest smart glasses, OPPO Air Glass 3, at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. Based on the first-generation smart glasses launched in 2021, Air Glass 3 adopts a classic design and is equipped with Integrated artificial intelligence assistant It’s called AndesGPT and is developed by OPPO.
The AndesGPT assistant was launched in December 2023 and debuted with OPPO Find X7 in early January 2024. It supports users to perform various tasks such as searching, taking notes, interpreting text, images, videos and audio in complex scenarios. Press Buttons (located on the side of the glasses) provide real-time information.
Air Glass 3 must be paired with a smartphone running Color OS 13 to work, and this connection allows the glasses to handle things like Answer calls, show notifications and play music.
Plans for future expansion of functionality are already under discussion, including the following: Translation and Internet browsing.
Weighing only 50 grams, these glasses feature a magnesium-lithium alloy frame and nylon PA temples, and the lenses are coated with a resin with a refractive index of 1.7 to eliminate reflections. The integrated display has a brightness uniformity of over 50%, reaching over 1,000 nits, and automatically adjusts to improve visibility in sunlight. For those who need additional prescriptions to correct their vision, OPPO plans to offer custom lenses.
