Every year at major tech shows, we see at least one foldable display concept catch our attention, and this year at MWC, it’s from Motorola. They unveiled a bendable concept phone that can bend and even wrap around your wrist. The company calls the concept Adaptive Display to show what could be possible in the future. This flexible display can be bent at different angles to provide a variety of forms and uses.

When laid flat, the concept delivers a standard Android experience on a 6.9-inch screen. In the upright position, it has a 4.6-inch screen for a more compact experience. Motorola suggests you could even wrap it around your wrist to mimic the Razr Plus’ screen-covered experience. Since this is just a concept, Motorola has no word yet on pricing or availability, but we may see this bendable display in a future product soon.

This laptop is called the Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop, which is equipped with a 17.3-inch Micro-LED transparent display. Even the keyboard area of the display is transparent, giving users a fully immersive experience. Lenovo says the concept is made possible thanks to a mini-LED display with high color saturation and 1,000 nit brightness, which could lead to an unprecedented future of digital products.

8 No phone (2a)

Nothing Phone 2a MWC Pocket Now

The brand has been slowly building hype for its upcoming Phone 2a mid-range smartphone over the past few weeks and finally at MWC 2024, the brand revealed the design of the smartphone. The Phone 2a clearly draws inspiration from the Phone 1 and Phone 2, with the phone featuring a transparent back with visible screws and what appears to be a cooling system. There aren’t as many LED lights on the back as there are on the other two phones, and even the camera arrangement this time around is horizontal.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei has revealed some of the specifications of the smartphone – it will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM. However, the company hasn’t released any pricing or release date information yet—perhaps we’ll learn more at the Nothing’s event on March 5.

9 OPPO air glass 3

OPPO Air Glass 3 becomes mwc’s best product

Already entering the field of AR and VR devices in 2024, OPPO launched the latest Air Glass 3 at MWC 2024. OPPO’s new smart glasses look just like regular glasses, but have a bright display with a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and a low refractive index for clearer content visibility. Weighing just 50 grams, they pair with your smartphone to display content and enable music control, calls, and more.

However, the standout feature of OPPO Air Glass 3 is its use of AndesGPT. The glasses collect input from the surrounding environment through vision and sound (multimodal input), then hand it over to AndesGPT running on the smartphone for processing and then display the visual/audio output. You can press the temples of your smart glasses to activate GPT and ask for information about what you’re seeing, among other things.
