The Fitbit app is the same across all devices and models, so whether you have a Fitbit Charge, Inspire, or any other device, you can follow the same steps. The Today tab is where you’ll find the most useful features, so it’s the first one that appears when you open the app. Here’s how to harness its power.
How to edit what the Fitbit Today tab displays
- On the Today screen, click edit.
- Click on the circle with ‘X‘ symbol next to indicators you don’t want to see.
- tap complete.
How to edit the order of indicators in the Today tab
- On the Today screen, click edit.
- Drag the indicator tiles into the order you want them to appear.

The top of the Fitbit Today tab will display five metrics, and you can choose from Steps, Floors, Distance, Calories Burned, and Active Minutes. To change which metrics are displayed, you need to uncheck the metrics you don’t want to display. You cannot exchange indicators.
If your Fitbit doesn’t include an altimeter, you won’t see floors climbed.
