X (formerly Twitter) is rolling out add-ons to its Spaces broadcast feature, giving users another way to go live.

When starting a new Space broadcast, users will find a new “Enable Video” toggle below the pre-existing “Record Space” option.

After startup, users will find a new camera icon next to the microphone icon.

As The Verge points out, the video portion of a Space stream only appears while live, meaning recording Space still falls under the audio portion.

Meanwhile, as Engadget points out, users appear to have started noticing a number of issues with X’s video streaming in Spaces. One user’s lengthy post discusses issues such as setting the broadcast to landscape mode (for hosts) making it extremely difficult to properly manage the stream. What’s more, enabling video streaming reportedly causes a significant increase in streaming latency.

Android doesn’t seem to have Spaces-enabled video streaming yet. However, users on iOS appear to have it. Additionally, joining a Space broadcast from the desktop will not display the video portion if the host has enabled the feature. This means that support for computer users will have to be provided at other times.
