Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Ring won’t be compatible with iOS devices

During a roundtable discussion with Samsung Vice President Hon Pak at this year’s MWC, he made it clear that the iPhone will not support the upcoming Galaxy Ring. This is quite a bold move by Samsung.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Ring won't be compatible with iOS devices

Hon Pak said Samsung is confident in its products and acknowledges the challenges of Android/iOS, but the company’s devices are no worse than Apple’s, so if you want to use Samsung’s ecosystem, there are good reasons to switch. He also added that Samsung is working on integration with other Android devices, not just Samsung phones.

Since the Galaxy Ring comes in multiple sizes, the smallest one will be powered by a 14 mAh battery, while the larger one will be powered by a 21.5 mAh battery. These should be enough to provide 5-9 days of battery life.

The actual release date for the Galaxy Ring is unclear, but rumors suggest it will join the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6’s Unpacked event in July this year. In the meantime, check out our actual impressions.
