Viasat wins Northrop contract to help enhance Air Force internet connectivity

Via Satellite Received a four-year contract Northrop Grumman Corporation Provides company-built satellite systems in support of a U.S. Air Force program to connect commercial space internet services to military users.

As part of the deal, Viasat said Thursday it will provide services ViaSat-3 satellite communications network Facilitate high-bandwidth satellite Internet connectivity on existing aircraft or ground vehicles for defense experiments using commercial space Internet Call 003 programs.

Additionally, the agreement involves the integration of ViaSat-3 modems into Northrop’s open systems processor and antenna systems.

ViaSat-3 is a compact, lightweight modem available as an embedded module that enables seamless integration with multiple mission systems.
