Oukitel launched its OT8 tablet “for entertainment, education, and work” in January, and now we know the brand plans to launch a new rugged tablet called the Oukitel RT8 at the end of the month. We’ve received exclusive information about the Oukitel RT8, so let’s see what’s on offer.

The Oukitel RT8 will feature an 11-inch 2K screen with thick bezels all around, one of which houses a 32MP selfie camera. On the back, you will have a triple-camera setup that includes a 48MP primary camera (Sony sensor), a 20MP night camera vision camera, and a 5MP macro camera.

The Oukitel RT8 will come standard with a leather hand strap for easy portability. However, the brand will also offer a premium alloy stand as an optional accessory that can be used as a stand while watching videos, video calls or doing other work.

The rugged tablet will be powered by the Helio G99 SoC, boot Android 13, and come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 1TB. Powering the entire kit is a 20,000 mAh battery with support for 33W charging.

Being a rugged tablet, the Oukitel RT8 is expected to receive IP68/69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications. The thickness is 15.1 mm and the weight is 996.7 grams.

The Oukitel RT8 is expected to initially cost around $300 (€275/INR 24,855) and will be sold through the Oukitel official store and Amazon.
