Electronics retailer PlayStation Portal has been out of stock almost everywhere else lately Best Buy recently has PS Portal in stock. Now they’re sold out again online, but it might be worth checking your local store just in case.

When Sony launched the PS Portal, a portable PS5 streaming device, on November 15, 2023, it sold out quickly. With the ability to stream your favorite PS5 games to any handheld device with a good internet connection, it’s no wonder the portal is so popular with PS5 owners.
As of this writing, PS Portal is still out of stock at Sony’s PlayStation Direct store, as well as multiple other traditional retailers. But if you know where to look, you might be able to spot new products as they become available.

Although it is fresh stock PS Portal Released on Sony’s website on January 11, 2024, it sold out quickly. Keeping an eye on Sony’s website is a straightforward way to check current stock status. Unfortunately, there’s no way to wishlist or favorite PS Portal on Sony’s website to get any status notifications. So if you do spot some products for sale on a website, be sure to act quickly.

Unfortunately, PS Portal is stocked on: Best Buy Amazon also remains empty. Luckily, sites like Best Buy allow you to check local inventory and save items to your account to quickly find out when Sony’s streaming handheld will be available again.

While it’s unfortunate that many PS Portal sales have been taken away by scalpers, those who have managed to get their hands on one are quite happy with its performance. Its 8-inch LCD display delivers excellent images. After a few days of testing, I only experienced one connection glitch while playing the game like a dragon: they are. Without any warning, I was wandering around Kyoto looking for combat when I suddenly received a message that my connection to my PS5 had been lost. Although its appeal as a portable streaming solution for PS5 games seems too niche for its success, the portal remains a popular and hard-to-find product on internet retail sites. You can expect updates to this guide as soon as we hear news about inventory updates.
