Or “connected experience,” or whatever other marketing term they come up with for their “bad field service grindfest.” Sometimes they don’t even tell you upfront that it’s a GAAS game, instead letting potential viewers infer this information from visual cues in the game’s trailers, such as… three different types of in-game currency, popping up from enemies Being digitally minded, the whole thing has a distinct project air about it that can’t inspire any real enthusiasm from any creative. The core of a good idea is undermined by shareholder demands. ETC.

It wouldn’t be so bad if every damn game these days didn’t come with a live service element. But nonetheless, sometimes the sandwich is sprinkled with sprinkles, and one can enjoy any old turd if necessary.
