Today is Valentine’s Day and love is in the air. Or maybe it’s just pollen? It feels like spring came a little early this year. No, there must be some love, and Marvel Snapshot (Free) is getting into a mood that the developers are calling the first “imbalance patch.” What exactly is this? Well, that means some characters will feel the benefits of their romantic relationships for a limited time, and speaking of superheroes, that means they’ll have super powers. Let’s dive into the details of the Valentine’s Day week events!
Well, all that bells and whistles aside, here’s how it works. Second Supper sets up certain card pairings so that if you use one, the other will get a power boost, and vice versa. This is a privilege exclusive to select “power couples” and is valid until February 20th. So who are these immortal couples? I will list them for you first, so you can feel free to fight each other on the battlefield. Comments on whether you get along well with them.
- Angela and Sera (+1 Strength)
- Black Panther and Nakia (+1 Strength)
- Captain America and Agents 13 (+2 Strength)
- Gambit and Rogue (+2 Strength)
- Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic (+2 Strength)
- Iron Man and the Rescue (+1 Strength)
- Miles Morales and the Ghost Spider (+1 Strength)
- She-Hulk and Daredevil (+2 Power)
- Star-Lord and Gamora (+1 Strength)
- Vision and Scarlet Witch (+1 Strength)
Phew, yes. I can see some people taking issue with some of this. Matt and Jen over Matt and Erica? Hmm hmm. Well, this is not my game.Regardless, this gives you extra incentive to play some cards you might not otherwise use, and it incorporates classic elements Marvel Snapshot tend to do well. Again, making sure I’ve driven this home: this buff is active as you read this, and it will remain active until February 20th. Collect your cubes while you still can.
