There are new rumors that the Vivo X Fold 3 series is about to beat other foldable phones with powerful upgrades.
Recent rumors suggest that Vivo is preparing to launch its next foldable phone in China at the end of March. Ahead of the official launch, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed almost all the specifications of the Vivo X Fold 3 series (via PhoneArena ).
Leaked information suggests the foldable beast packs a serious punch, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
If successful, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and X Fold 3 could be the first foldable phones to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset. This could mean a massive performance boost that other foldable phones can’t match.
The X Fold 3 series is rumored to have the same screen size as last year’s X Fold 2 (8.03-inch folding display, 6.53-inch cover screen). But the resolution of both screens is said to have been upgraded as well. The leak suggests we’re looking at a 2480 x 2200 internal display and a 2748 x 1172 external display.
Both displays on the X Fold 3 Pro and X Fold 3 are rumored to use LTPO AMOLED panels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the X Fold 2, they are expected to support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The camera department of the X Fold 3 Pro may also get a boost. According to Digital Chat Station, we might be looking at a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP OV50H main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 64MP 3x periscope camera. This is a major upgrade from the X Fold 2’s dual 12MP lens.
It is also rumored to bring optical image stabilization and the ability to capture 4K video at 60 frames per second thanks to its V3 imaging chip.
In terms of battery, the regular model is rumored to come with a 5,550mAh battery, while its larger sibling could come with up to a 5,800mAh battery, which is the largest battery in a foldable device.
Charging won’t be a hassle either, with potential 120W wired fast charging and fast 50W wireless charging options.
If the leaked specs and design rumors are true, it looks like the X Fold 3 series will not only surpass its predecessors, but also challenge the current strong lineup of foldable phones from Samsung, Google, and some Chinese brands.
