(ABC 6 News) – Governor Tim Walz announced a $53 million investment to expand broadband in Minnesota, with some of that funding extending to southeastern Minnesota.
In Fillmore County, Mediacom will receive more than $33,000. In the Mower project, Spectrum will receive more than $400,000 and broadband company Arvig will receive more than $3.1 million.
All investments will go toward projects that improve access to high-speed internet in rural communities.
