RPG Maker will be coming to Switch in fall 2024
NIS America will launch its latest RPG Maker game creation tool to the West on Nintendo Switch this fall. It includes a set of pre-made example games and assets and will provide easy-to-learn tools. In-game creations can be posted online, and you can try out other people’s games. I’ve always been a fan of tools like this and will be checking it out on Switch.

Snufkin: Melodies from Moominvalley ($19.99)
I only learned Moomin After coming to Japan. I don’t think it’s very popular in Canada, but maybe I just missed it. However, it is popular here and in many other places. In this game you play as Snufkin. You’re trying to restore Moominvalley after a bunch of parks suddenly got built there. You have to do various things to bring nature back to the valley, which also requires the help of many familiar characters. I think our friend Mikhail will be commenting on this, so keep your eyes peeled.
Top Racer Series ($19.99)
If you know, you know.this top racing driver series (originally called Top grade in the West, but whose name is used in Japan for legal reasons) offered some of the most exciting racing of its time on the Super NES, and it makes a comeback in this series from QUByte.you get Top racing driver, top racing driver 2, top racer 3000and a special fourth game, which is basically top racing driver some cars from horizon chase. QUByte has put more effort into this than some other retro re-releases, including a completely new menu and online multiplayer. I will review this soon.
Rising Star Grand Prix ($29.99)
The folks at Five Aces are back with their take on arcade racing. You’ll control a racing team, upgrade your car, choose your repair strategy, and try to outshine your opponents. If you wish, you can also compete against friends in split-screen multiplayer. It’s a great game and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the fun of F1 style arcade racing.
TV Studio Stories ($12.00)
Another Kairosoft simulation game, this time focused on the exciting world of television production.Theoretically, this is similar to Game development story. You have to come up with shows that you think people will want to watch, hire some famous stars to star in them, and then make them as big as possible to attract viewers and money. The larger you go, the more refined your work will become. It looks good, but I don’t think it will change anyone’s opinion of the Kairosoft formula.
Arcade Archives Tank Battalion ($7.99)
This week’s Arcade Archives The release of this album takes the time back to 1980, when there were very few game types and even fewer fresh ideas. It’s time for another KEMCO race, but this is no ordinary race by any means. As you can see from the screenshots, this is a turn-based tactical role-playing game. It doesn’t even come from one of KEMCO’s usual development partners, which means if nothing else, it should feel like its own. Use the terrain and wide range of attacks to defeat enemies and enjoy some kind of story. About the task of sealing some ancient ruins. Good luck. If this is your kind of sandwich, grab a plate.
Ancient Weapons Holly ($17.99)
This is a roguelite action game in which you play as a humanoid weapon named Holly who has been sealed deep in the earth for tens of thousands of years. Well, she’s awake now and a little cranky. Maybe she was just hungry, I don’t know. But she’s ready to destroy all of humanity, and it’s up to you to help her escape the maze she’s fallen into. The ferocious power she used to have has been nerfed quite a bit, but I’m sure you can figure out how to get her back up to speed in time to cook us all. It’s a great premise, but the game itself is a bit bland. You might like it more than I do, though.
Astronomy Duel 2 ($19.99)
It’s time for another round Astronomical duel, offers top-down shooting action and platforming combat for up to six players via local multiplayer. You can fight each other or against each other, and there are multiple modes to choose from to keep everything fresh. With different ships to choose from and a plethora of weapons to use, you should be able to find a setup that suits your play style. This looks pretty good and I think fans of the original will enjoy it.
Chip and Charge ($2.49)
This is a very very basic tennis game. It features six different backgrounds, eight computer-controlled opponents to fight against, and tons of cosmetics for you to customize your player. A second player can join in the fun via local multiplayer, but I think you’ll only be able to play co-op. This seems weird to me, but maybe I’m missing something. Well, just a few bucks and change.
