Computex organizer Taiwan External Trade Development Association (TAITRA) announced that Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger will deliver a keynote speech at Computex 2024 on June 4, 2024. Showcasing Intel’s next-generation AI-enhanced products for client and data center computers.
According to a press release from TAITRA, Pat Gelsinger will discuss how Intel’s product lines, including the AI-accelerated Intel Xeon, Intel Gaudi and Intel Core Ultra processor families, serve client PCs, cloud computing, data centers, and networking and edge Applications that open up new opportunities. He will also discuss the superior performance per watt and lower cost of ownership of Intel Xeon processors, which enhance server capacity for artificial intelligence workloads.
The most interesting part of Intel’s Computex keynote was certainly the company’s next generation of AI-enhanced products for client and data center computers. Currently, Intel is preparing a number of products that are attracting widespread attention, including:
- Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake processors use next-generation process technology for desktop and mobile PCs and feature a new microarchitecture;
- Granite Rapids CPU for data centers based on high-performance microarchitecture;
- Sierra Forest processors with up to 288 cores for cloud workloads based on energy-efficient cores codenamed Crestmont;
- Gaudi 3 processors for AI workloads are expected to increase BF16 performance to four times that of Gaudi 2.
- Battlemage graphics processing unit.
All of these products are expected to be released in 2024-2025, so Intel could do a good job at Computex to showcase them and demonstrate their performance benefits, or even officially launch some of them. What remains to be seen is whether Intel will also show off its further products, such as Clearwater Shores and Falcon Shores.
