The publication reports that while sideloading of QPR3 Beta 2 generally works fine, any attempt to restart Pixels will cause the device to get stuck on the Google logo once the process is complete.
Fortunately, this is a soft brick. This means that the affected pixels won’t become completely useless when the problem occurs. If there are issues with QPR3 Beta 2 sideloading, users can sideload the previous Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1 update to get their Pixel up and running.
In the meantime, those who installed the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 OTA update can do so successfully. A user on Reddit also reported that they had no issues sideloading the March update onto their Pixel Fold.
It’s unclear what the real problem is and whether Google will fix it soon. Meanwhile, it is recommended to download the latest QPR update only via OTA to avoid running into problems.
