If you spend too much time picking out the perfect beard every time you fire up your role-playing game, you’ll be happy to know that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has you covered. how so? Well, Capcom has released a great character creation tool that allows you to create the Arisen you’ll be using in the game right now.
Yes, before starting your adventure you have to spend a lot of time making sure your character looks absolutely perfect and it’s no longer a release day chore. Okay, we can’t completely guarantee that you won’t be getting your brows tweaked on March 22, but it’s true.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creation and storage tool was revealed during yesterday’s Capcom Highlights broadcast, which you can watch in full below and is currently available for download on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. With it, you can “customize the appearance of your protagonist, the resurrected one, as well as the appearance and tendencies of your companions, your main chess pieces.”
You’ll then be able to transfer that data over to the full version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 once it’s released, meaning you can just pick out your really good-looking guy or (check notes) slightly weird-looking cat guy and head out and enter game. Additionally, the tool can store up to five Arisen and the same number of chess pieces at the same time, meaning you can create an entire small gang to choose from as needed, so you’ll most likely be ready for multiple games.
So, what have people created so far? Well, a post from ResetEra showed off a lot of very detailed and stylish Arisen, along with two of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. First up, user viotech3 created what I can only describe as an authentic version of Garfield, complete with orange fur, a heavy metal band-like haircut, and wider shoulders than your average SUV.
Then there’s Chauncey. He was “the greatest archer in the history of the world.” He was “quick, diplomatic, and humble.” “You will never see or hear him coming,” said his creator, user Enduin. His video is below.
