Ten and a half years after Ubisoft announced the news at Sony’s Gamescom 2013 press conference, the game maker’s watch dogs Film project resurfaces.
With the blast from the past comes the words “talk to me” Sophie Wilde Will star in a Regency movie movie.
Deadline reports that Hostel’s Mathieu Turi will direct the film based on an original script by Christie LeBlanc, who has written the sci-fi thriller for Netflix The film “Oxygen”. Producers include Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann for New Regency Pictures and Margaret Boykin for Ubisoft Pictures.
While Wilde had other acting credits, she is best known for her role as Mia in the supernatural horror film talk to me. The role earned her an AACTA Award for Best Actress and was nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award.
“Talk to Me” was well-received by critics and enthusiastically received by fans, helping the film earn $90.5 million at the box office.
Watch Dogs was released in 2014 and was developed by Ubisoft Montreal with help from other Ubisoft studios. It is set in a fictional Chicago and follows the life of gray hat hacker and vigilante Aiden Pearce. Deeds to avenge the murder of his niece.
