Motorola’s next flagship phone has appeared in leaked images showing off different colors, including a variant with a fabric-like pattern on the back.
Thanks to Android Headlines, we now have our first look at the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in three different colors, including matte black, matte purple, and silver.
The device may be called Motorola Edge Plus (2024) in the US and Motorola X50 Ultra in China. A few days ago, the Lenovo-owned company teased the Motorola X50 Ultra, showing off its unique leatherette back and promising a heavy focus on artificial intelligence.
As seen in the image below, the black and purple versions may have a leather-like feel on the back. Furthermore, staying true to tradition, it appears that the new Edge models will feature curved displays, breaking the flat trend seen on other Android phones this year.
The most striking of the collection are the white or silver versions with platinum-like metal frames on the sides. It appears to have a fabric-style finish, giving it a unique vibe.
The camera setup on the back is also kept simple and stylish, blending seamlessly with the rest of the back panel. The look reminds us of the Oppo Find X3 and Find X5 series.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is rumored to feature a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.4 wide aperture, a 13mm wide-angle camera, and a telephoto camera with 6x zoom at 73mm.
What’s even more exciting is that according to previous reports, this phone is expected to be equipped with a 6.7-inch 165Hz curved display. It is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, coupled with a powerful 12GB of RAM.
The Edge 50 Pro’s charging speed doesn’t seem to be hindered. Rumor has it that it will feature a 4,500mAh battery and support up to 125W wired fast charging. That could make it a speed demon for American phones. As if that’s not enough, it may also support 50W wireless charging.
Rumor has it that the phone will land in China on April 3, before heading to the United States
