A recent update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 allows access to the game’s development menu. This means players can access developer tools including God Mode, Venom in free roam, mission selectors, and even view the unreleased Beetle villain boss arc.
It’s unclear whether the unreleased content, including the aforementioned boss arc and otherwise inaccessible symbiote suits and upgrades, will be part of future DLC or simply content left on the cutting room floor. Either way, as long as your game is version 1.002.000, you’ll have access to it all. But be careful, messing around may have a negative impact on your save file.

Insomniac acknowledged the mistake on social media, Post a statement on X (formerly Twitter) It continues below: “We are aware that the latest game update may inadvertently allow access to the development game menu. A fix is being rolled out. Please note that using this menu may corrupt your save and trophy progress. There is no risk associated with playing the game as intended.”
For those who don’t know, the developer menu is a backend tool in a video game that players never see or touch. It is often used in the testing process, allowing developers to jump into specific tasks and scenarios to smooth out any rough areas before public release.
