Samsung’s mid-range Tab S6 Lite may get a refresh in 2024, but a new leak claims it’s mostly a minor tweak under the hood.
Winfuture has released a series of official-looking images, giving us a 360-degree view of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). The outlet also revealed some specs and pricing details.
The tablet first hit shelves in 2020 and was updated in 2022. Now, Samsung is said to be preparing a 2024 model, which looks mostly similar to the previous version except for the chipset.
This means we can expect the same 10.4-inch 2000×1200 TFT LCD display and S Pen support. There may be a 5MP camera on the front and an 8MP shooter on the back.
However, the 2024 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite may bring some new changes. Rumor has it that it will ditch the usual Snapdragon processor and feature an Exynos 1280 chipset, breaking the norm from Samsung’s earlier budget tablets.
Back in 2020, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite debuted, powered by the Exynos 9611 chip. In 2022, its sequel will rock the Snapdragon 732G or Snapdragon 720G, depending on where you are.
Rumor has it that the upcoming model will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for extra space. As for the more powerful 128GB version, specific details are still pending.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is expected to keep the battery capacity consistent with 7,040mAh. Oddly, the details of its fast-charging capabilities remain a mystery.
Samsung appears to be launching two versions of the tablet, giving you the option of LTE support or not. As far as wallets are concerned, the non-LTE version is rumored to retail for €400 in Europe, while the LTE upgrade will likely add some cost to €450.
According to the leaked renders, the tablet may come in black and beige color options, but when it will be launched is still unknown.
