Guys, we’ve taken action! There’s a lot going on here, so let’s get started. First off, if it wasn’t clear that the earlier footage was actually of the Griffith Observatory, there’s a sign behind the power armor here that says as much. Secondly, a character in power armor is facing off against a man who is clearly underpowered for this fight. Behind them, there were more troops wearing the same tattered military uniforms and weapons. Of particular note here is a man holding a flag. While it’s hard to see in this image, the full trailer reveals that the flag is indeed that of the New California Republic, also known as the NCR, one of the factions in Obsidian Entertainment’s beloved series, Fallout: New Vegas.
It looks like the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel will be the main factions facing off in season one fall out. It’s unclear, and may be revealed on the show, why they’re fighting, especially in this land. Knowing how the Brotherhood of Steel operates, it’s possible to conclude that there is something inside or underground at Griffith Observatory that is being protected by the NCR.
