Honor flagship editions always bring fresh designs and cool colors, and the upcoming Honor Magic 6 flagship edition is no exception.
Honor released a teaser on Weibo, hinting at the upcoming launch of the Magic 6 Ultimate in China. After the global premiere of Honor Magic 6 Pro, we have a sneak peek, but it is worth noting that compared with the Pro, the camera module design of the flagship version is a completely new field.
The highlight of the novel design is the crazy new camera module that dominates the back of the device. It has a square shape with two rounded corners, giving it a unique and eye-catching look.
Unlike last year’s Honor Magic 5 flagship version which used the Pro version’s circular camera module, this year’s design has changed. Honor describes the new look as “the ultimate artistic masterpiece.”
Oddly enough, the trailer doesn’t let us see any cameras, which adds a bit of intrigue. What does this time bring us? For now it’s still a mystery.
While the actual camera lens is being kept under wraps, the design is sleek and stylish, with gold trim on the camera module that’s reminiscent of the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Edition. This design is very different from what you see on many of our favorite Android phones.
Like last year’s Ultimate model, the Magic 6 Ultimate is likely to have nearly the same specs as the Magic 6 Pro, but with a lighter build. So we’re expecting the continuation of the stunning 6.8-inch OLED display, which boasts the same 120Hz variable refresh rate as the Magic 6 Pro display.
The Magic 6 Ultimate’s cameras may also include a 50MP main sensor, a 180MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. Also, under the hood, you may find the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Honor is confirmed to be fully revealed on March 18, so we won’t have to wait too long. However, the chances of the device launching globally are a bit slim.
