This means there’s some integration between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, or so we think.
talking about Happy Sad Confused Podcastwhen asked how much he knew or understood what he was doing, Keaton’s response was rather surprising. Moebius. “No,” he said. “No idea. Not any. Zero. Even they can’t fully explain that.”
In the film, Keaton’s character randomly appears in Moebius world and soon met the vampire protagonist. He told him, “I don’t know how I ended up here. I think it has something to do with Spider-Man. I’m still figuring this place out, but I think a group of guys like us should band together and do some good.” To this vague Sinister Six tease, Dr. Michael Morbius replied: “Interesting.”
It’s clear from this exchange that no one knows what this means. Keaton dived deeper. “[Morbius director Daniel Espinosa] “I said ‘Let me tell you,’ and I was like ‘Well, I really don’t know what you’re talking about or even who these people are,'” Keaton said. “But it’s complicated because they’re obviously looking to the future and saying ‘This is how it’s going to work. This is what’s going to happen here. And then I’m like ‘OK, I’m in.'”
