long story short
- US Pixel users have started receiving the latest March 2024 feature drops.
- The update is reportedly rolling out to AT&T, Google Fi, and T-Mobile users.
- This appears to be a staggered push, though, with some users saying they’re still waiting for the new software.
Google announced March Pixel feature drops a week ago. However, US users are still in limbo as Google says the update will only start rolling out to US users on March 11th. It appears the update has finally started rolling out to US carrier customers.
We’ve seen multiple reports on Reddit indicating that the March Pixel Feature Drop is now available to AT&T and Google Fi users in the US. Some T-Mobile users also reported that they had received the new software, while Verizon had no sign of an update.
The update has a build number of AP1A.240305.019.A1 and is approximately 724MB in size. It looks like the releases are staggered. This means that not all US users will see the update option right now.
If you live in the US and still haven’t received your March Pixel Feature Drop, there’s no need to worry. As the rollout progresses, it should reach all eligible Pixel users in the coming days. Meanwhile, if you’re elsewhere in the world, you should have received the update.
What’s new in March Pixel feature drops?
One of the most notable features carried over from the Pixel 8 series to the Pixel 7 series is Circle Search. Google has also added support for uploading and sharing Ultra HDR photos to Instagram for the Pixel 7 series and newer Pixels.
Call screening has also been updated, allowing you to say “hello” if the person on the other end remains silent.
Elsewhere, the software also brings partial screen recording functionality, allowing users to screen-record only or share specific applications.
You can also look forward to fast pairing and improvements with the March Android security patch.
