A user on Reddit posted a screenshot of their S23 Plus downloading the (very light) security patch (via Android Police). It provided the trio’s changelog, which simply noted that the device’s security “has been improved.”
Additionally, the download size of the patch is 400MB.
Samsung has provided its usual official changelog, which states that there are 35 fixes that are “high” priority. There were only two “critical” level fixes in March. The Korean OEM has made a fix for AppLocker, saying it should prevent unauthorized attackers from reconfiguring its settings.
Additional fixes prevent memory corruption, exposure of sensitive information via MAC address, and other vulnerabilities.
As for Google, the company has provided eight framework fixes and five Android-specific fixes.

Samsung’s March 2024 security update is on its way, and the Galaxy S24 series was also updated with the update a week ago. The patch is also fairly light, only helping to correct a few bugs and some stability issues with the latest flagship series. A few weeks ago, Samsung rolled out its first update for the S24, aiming to alleviate the frustrations of users unhappy with the Vivid display changes.
The most notable part of the S23 March patch is the lack of Galaxy AI functionality. The Korean OEM plans to bring some of its latest on-device and cloud-based AI tools to some previous-generation devices. The Galaxy S23 series is eligible, but we haven’t gotten it yet.
It looks like we’re not too far away from it, as the S24’s Galaxy AI capabilities are expected to arrive later in March via the One UI 6.1 patch.
