The Samsung Galaxy Ring is one of the best pieces of technology we saw and experienced during MWC 2024. The tiny device was teased during Galaxy S24 Unpacked and officially announced during the latest tech event in Barcelona, which gave us more information about its specs and features. We haven’t received any hints on pricing or availability, but it seems Samsung is planning a one-of-a-kind product that will include the upcoming Olympics.
Samsung’s formal relationship with the Summer Olympics began more than three decades ago when Samsung became a local sponsor of the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and later strengthened its commitment to the Games by becoming a global Olympic partner in the wireless communications equipment category during the 1998 Nagano Winter Games. Now, there’s no real information or rumors suggesting that Samsung will be waiting for the 2024 Paris Olympics to show off the Galaxy Ring more, and we might even entertain the idea, but think about it. Samsung launching the Galaxy Ring during the event would be the most genius marketing campaign ever, as the Olympic rings symbolize the Olympic movement. I just imagined five galactic rings intertwined to mimic the placement of the Olympic rings. It could be genius, or maybe I have a big imagination.
