YouTube Premium is now available in 10 more countries

YouTube users in 10 countries woke up to find that they can now subscribe to YouTube Premium. This paid service removes ads (without having to fight Google’s anti-ad blocker tricks), but also lets you download videos for offline playback and listen to them using the player in the background.

Here are the 10 new countries added to the list of Premium Member locations (full list here):

  • Azerbaijan
  • jamaica
  • Kazakhstan
  • Libya
  • Morocco
  • Meeting
  • Tanzania
  • Uganda
  • Yemen
  • Zimbabwe

Of course, this is a paid service, but you can also get it as part of a Google One bundle. This feature is available in the 8 countries mentioned above (see the full list here), but Libya and Reunion Island are missing. Students should check out the YouTube Student Membership deal to get Premium at a discount – all 10 countries are on the list. You will need to verify as a student via SheerID, more details here.
