High polling rates require large batteries
The Ajazz AL199 4K is named for its maximum 4000Hz polling rate, which can be problematic for a wireless mouse because the higher the polling rate, the faster the battery drains. To solve this problem, they added a 900 mAh battery that they claim will last up to 300 hours at 1000Hz and about 30 hours at 4000Hz. Ajazz also manages to keep the weight reasonable, with the AL199 4K tipping the scales at 63 grams.
TechPowerUp appreciates the use of the PixArt PAW3395 sensor and Huano switches, but they’re not crazy about the mouse’s scroll wheel and accuracy. It’s great for working on the road, but for gaming, you might want to consider a different solution. Still, for the $70 asking price, it’s a great mouse to keep in your laptop bag, as it’ll be ready to use even after months in your laptop bag.
