According to its development roadmap, Microsoft’s Teams will bring walkie-talkie functionality to Apple’s iPhone in May. This will leverage Apple’s Push-to-Talk framework for using Intercom in Teams.
This will provide instant, secure voice communications and efficient backend operations. You can even have intercom while talking on the lock screen. So it will work even if you don’t have Microsoft Teams in the foreground.
The integration is currently targeted for implementation in May, but of course, as with any development, things may be delayed if unforeseen issues arise.
