The Mi 14 Ultra is an impressive camera phone—Xiaomi even hired professionals to shoot movies with it. It has a 50MP 1″-type main sensor, 50MP 75mm telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide-angle (with AF), and a 32MP selfie camera with a 22mm wide-angle lens. The rest of the phone is equally impressive, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 12 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO 120Hz display with 12-bit color and a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Technically, it’s still on pre-order, but shipping will begin on Monday. You can apply a £1,199 voucher to the RRP of £1,300, and you’ll get a further £50 off at checkout.
The Xiaomi Mi 14 is already available, with Amazon offering a £50 voucher and a £50 off voucher at checkout. It’s smaller but not smaller, with a 6.36-inch 1200p LTPO display (120Hz, 12-bit color). It also runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and has triple 50MP cameras – a smaller but not smaller 1/1.31” sensor on the main camera, a 75mm telephoto lens and a 115° lens on the ultra-wide angle (no autofocus). 4,610mAh The battery can be charged via wired 90W and wireless charging 50W.
There’s a direct 10% discount across the Samsung Galaxy S24 range (covering the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra), and you can get a £100 trade-in credit. Best of all is 1 year of free Disney+ (worth £110).
Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic are also available with a 10% discount. This includes both sizes as well as Bluetooth and LTE models (except for the small classic which comes with LTE for some reason).
The Motorola Edge 40 Neo features a fast 144Hz 6.55-inch AMOLED display (FHD+ resolution) and costs just £250. It comes with 5G-ready Dimensity 7030 chipset, 50+13MP cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired charging.
For another £50 you can buy the regular Motorola Edge 40. The phone has the same display but comes with the Dimensity 8020 chipset, which is more powerful (especially the GPU). In addition, this product has an aluminum frame instead of plastic, and although the battery is smaller at 4,400mAh, it supports 68W wired and 15W wireless charging.
The Motorola Razr 40 has been on sale for £700 for a long time, but now you can buy it for £100 cheaper. While the 6.9-inch 144Hz LTPO internal display (FHD+, 10-bit) is excellent, the external 1.5-inch row display is decidedly less so. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 isn’t great either, but it’s pretty cheap for a foldable phone.
Unfortunately, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has stayed at the £850 price point for several months. This one has a better Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a more usable 3.6-inch display (144Hz OLED). However, these cameras aren’t very good, especially at this price.
