Now that the Galaxy A35 5G is official, it’s frankly no surprise that Samsung is also working on the M35 5G.The latter is said to have appeared in the GeekBench database SM-M356B nickname.
Leaked GeekBench test
Just like the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A54, the new device appears to be powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset. It is a 5nm Samsung self-developed chip. The CPU configuration consists of four Cortex-A78 cores with a main frequency of up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2.0 GHz. The onboard GPU is Mali G68. Exynos 1380 supports UFS 3.1 storage as well as LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 RAM. However, we’re still not sure what type of chip is used inside the Galaxy M35 5G. We do know that the device tested on GeekBench has 6GB of RAM and runs Android 14. Neither of which is surprising.
Unfortunately, beyond that, there aren’t any real confirmed specs. Unlike previous M-series devices, which are usually based on their Galaxy A brethren, we’re expected to feature a very similar or even identical sized 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be a similar flat mid-frame design. In addition, it is likely to come with a larger 6,000 mAh battery, as this has become a signature feature of the M series. There may also be expandable storage, and there may be at least an 8GB RAM variant. There will definitely be some downgrades compared to the Galaxy A35 5G, probably in terms of ingress protection, cameras, and possibly speaker setup. For now, most of these opinions are just our educated guesses. We will keep you updated if any new information becomes available.
