Bayless is a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and the 2024 offseason has left him angry about the team’s lack of action.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones claimed the team is “fully committed” to building a Super Bowl contending team for the 2024 season.
“It’s going to be a full-on effort with different guys than it has been in the past,” Jones told Cowboys reporters. Nick Harris.
“We’re going to give it our all. We’ve seen some things from some of the players that we want to give our all. Yeah, what I’m saying is you’re going to see us next year as opposed to building it for the future.
“That’s the best way I could ever say it. That should answer a lot of questions.”

The Cowboys have been mostly silent so far in free agency, not making any splash like their rivals the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.
Bayless saw enough from the Cowboys and sent a simple message expressing his displeasure.
“All in, my a**,” he tweeted.
This tweet got a lot of attention because a comma saved it from a completely different meaning.

However, in response to the news, Bayless showed no remorse for his comedic message.
“I started with a question from Alex from Los Angeles,” Bayless said.
“‘Why would you tweet something like that?’ Alex, the better question is, why wouldn’t I tweet something like that? So, last Tuesday night, I finally got tired of Jerry Jones on his Roman Bullshit while burning. I tweeted: “All in, my ass. “
“You know why I love Twitter (or now X)? I’m a long-form writer. I’ve written five books, a screenplay, and God knows how many 5,000-word magazine articles.
“With four very short words, all separated by that all-important comma, there MUST be that comma. With these four little words, I could break the internet. So far, this little tweet has gained 67 million views.
“Because I hit a nerve. I got hit with smoking hot oil, just like Jerry Jones used to. Emotions came pouring out of me. Cowboys Twitter is tired of Jerry Jones doing nothing in free agency Inaction. That’s what I used to do. ”
While Bayless may have thought the responses to his tweets were about his criticism of the Cowboys, most of them were about commas, which saved him from receiving a very different message.
“That comma is working,” one fan said.
“Comma goes to overtime,” another fan said.
