Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the samosas with mint chutney and tomato sauce will lift your mood any time of the day. This snack also pairs perfectly with masala milk tea. Samosas are growing in popularity and love around the world. Recently, Vietnamese-American chef Newton Nguyen made samosas after a family member suggested it on Instagram. The video of cooking samosas went viral and has been viewed more than 10 million times. The video impressed samosa lovers as the snack looked absolutely delicious.
The cooking video begins with Newton reading a comment, “I think you should make samosas.” He begins the samosas-making process by peeling three large potatoes. He cut them into cubes and boiled the potatoes in water with some salt. Next, he mixes the spices with oil and chopped green chilies, coriander and garlic. After mashing the cooked potatoes, he added the spice mixture, along with salt, peas and other chopped vegetables. Nguyen mixes them well to create the filling for the samosas. After that, he starts preparing the crust. He added cumin seeds to refined wheat flour and kneaded it into a dough with oil. He then made a cone and filled it with potato filling. After sealing the samosas, he deep-fries them. Look! Delicious samosas are ready. Nguyen serves these with green mint chutney.
