Oh, and we’ve got a real mini-game loser here, because we almost forgot to include this game here – that’s what makes it so memorable. (Maybe we also forgot about the shooting incident on the Corel Railroad… was that a mini-game? I don’t know. It’s certainly more forgettable than this entry).
Here’s the thing… When I looked at the screenshots of the mini-game, I realized that I didn’t hate Glide de Chocobo as much as I thought.it did Taught me how to traverse the dizzying heights of Cosmic Canyon…but wow, does it involve a daunting learning curve. In fact, yes, it’s a beautiful bird, but the game is not fun at all. Chocobos can’t actually power their own flight, so you’re basically trying to beat gusts of wind from the fans, constantly passing through goals, each of which is numbered and counts towards the final score.

Glide de Chocobo evokes the frustrating feeling of constantly falling in platform games. On the Glide de Chocobo, it’s easy to lose altitude and you’ll find yourself grounding too quickly. It sucks all the zest out of your life and makes you miserable when you inevitably fall.
Yes, it can help you learn how to get around the area, and the sights there are really beautiful. But I don’t want to play this game anymore. — Claire Jackson
