long story short
- Vivo revealed that the X Fold 3 series of foldable phones will be available on March 26.
- The company also released a teaser video showcasing its slim design.
The HONOR Magic V2 is currently the thinnest foldable phone on the market, but we have rumors that vivo may launch its own ultra-thin foldable phone to compete with HONOR. Now, vivo has confirmed that the X Fold 3 series will be launched soon.
The company revealed on Weibo that the X Fold 3 series will be launched in China on March 26. It also released a video showing off the design of the foldable phone – check it out below.
The clip shows the phone is definitely thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 5, although we’re not sure yet if it’s thinner than the Magic V2.
Either way, the leaked information suggests the X Fold 3 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 5,800mAh battery, 120W wired charging, wireless charging support, and water resistance. The Pro model is also said to offer a 64MP 3x periscope camera, which should be a significant improvement over the X Fold 2’s 2x 12MP camera.
So will the vivo X Fold 3 series launch in the global market? History proves not, but leaker Yogesh Brar previously claimed that vivo will launch the series outside China. Still, we asked the company about wider availability and will update the article accordingly.
