Infinix’s new Note 40 series has large 120Hz AMOLED displays (mostly curved) and 108MP cameras (mostly with OIS). All feature wired fast charging and are compatible with the company’s new magnetic wireless charging system (which is compatible with special cases).
Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G
This is the first Infinix Note to wear the Pro+ badge, although last year’s Note 30 VIP was in a similar position.
The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7020, a 6nm chip with two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM, which can be doubled through virtual RAM.
Dimensity 7020 is equipped with large-capacity VC and 12GB RAM
On the front is a curved AMOLED display, tilted 55° on both sides. It’s a 120Hz 10-bit panel with FHD+ resolution and peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits, with 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass and Infinix also comes with a tempered glass protector in the box.
The Pro+ comes with a triple-camera system with a 108MP main camera, OIS, and up to 3x in-sensor zoom. The downside is that it cannot record 4K video. The other two modules on board are the 2MP Assistant. Even more interesting is the 32MP selfie camera.
Infinix is proud to introduce its first in-house power management chip, Cheetah X1. It handles charging and security tasks, and can handle up to 100W of power. The 4,500mAh battery charges to 50% in just 12 minutes and is rated for 1,600 cycles. It only takes 5 minutes of charging to get 3 hours of gaming or nearly 7 hours of video playback.
Charging: Cheetah X1 PM chip • 100W wired • MagKit wireless charging
There is also 20W wireless charging. It’s not quite Qi 2, but Infinix did design a magnetic charging system called “MagKit.” It includes a wireless charger and a wireless power bank that can be used with or without a case (but the case is specially designed). Reverse wired and wireless charging is also supported.
For gaming, you might like Bypass Charging 2.0, which supplies power directly to the motherboard (bypassing the battery), which helps the phone run 4.5°C cooler.
The phone also features a large vapor chamber (3,753mm²) and graphite sheets, which combine to reduce the temperature of the chipset by 7°C. Interestingly, JBL’s stereo speakers work with x-axis haptic feedback to provide an immersive experience.
Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G retro green and obsidian black
The phone is rated IP53 (splash-proof, so it can withstand rain). It comes in two colorways. The retro green option features a green leatherette back and gold accents (chassis and camera bump). Obsidian Black ditches artificial leather in favor of a black marble texture.

We’ve got pricing and release information at the bottom of this post, but first we’ll cover the Note 40 series reset.
Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G
Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G is similar to the Pro+ and comes with a curved 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display (FHD+), Dimensity 7020, and 108MP main camera. Without the “+”, things have gone back a bit.
6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED curved display
First of all, it has up to 8GB of RAM (+8GB virtual memory) and 256GB of storage space (LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 respectively). Additionally, the charging system is capped at 45W for wired charging, but it does maintain 20W wireless and MagKit compatibility. On the plus side, the battery is larger at 5,000mAh.
Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G Retro Green and Titan Gold
Like the Pro+, the phone is a dual-SIM phone with 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth. There are also NFC and IR blasters on board.
All three Note 40 Pro models will receive 2 operating system updates and 3 years of security patches, including the following patches. All Note 40 models come with Infinix XOS 14 (based on Android 14).

Infinix Note 40 Pro
The Infinix Note 40 Pro ditches 5G and replaces the chipset with a Helio G99. However, it has the same amount of RAM as the Pro+ model – 12GB of real memory and 12GB of virtual memory. It has faster wired charging than its 5G sibling at 70W, and it also maintains 20W MagKit charging. This one comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
MagPad is Infinix’s magnetic wireless charger
Note that the base model has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It uses the exact same 6.78-inch 120Hz display with curved sides and Gorilla Glass protection. Surprisingly, this product is a bit better dustproof and waterproof, reaching IP54.
Infinix Note 40 Pro
Like the Pro 5G, this one also comes in a leatherette-bound Vintage Green option as well as Titan Gold (Obsidian Black is exclusive to the Pro+).

Infinix Note 40
Despite not having the “Pro” moniker, the Infinix Note 40 is very similar to the model above – the main difference being that the display is flat (some would consider this an upgrade). It’s still a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED.
Infinix Note 40
The phone is powered by Helio G99 and comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage (LPDDR4X, UFS 2.2). It has a different 108MP main camera with a 1/1.52” ISOCELL sensor (the Note 40 Pro uses a 1/1.67” sensor).
