this Godzilla minus one The team wore some incredible monster-themed shoes to the Oscars over the weekend, and here’s your chance to pick some up for yourself.
This year’s Academy Awards was pretty historic, with Christopher Nolan finally winning his first career Academy Award (two, actually), and The Boy and the Heron becoming the second film to win Best Animated Feature. Award-winning 2D hand-drawn film (a feat it deserved but didn’t really need), Minus somehow became the first Godzilla movie to win an Oscar. I don’t know why it hasn’t won anything in its 70-year history – although I have some ideas – but honestly one of the best parts of the night was how much love the Minus One team put into the giant monsters on display.

For one, they each come with a Godzilla toy, one of which is golden and very cute. But the best part were the shoes they were wearing – they each wore a pair of very stylish black shoes, all with the heels replaced by Godzilla’s claws, and I was completely obsessed with them. It turns out these products may be for sale.

Fashion designer Ryosuke Matsui shared that the shoes are made by their brand Hazama, tweeting: “We often see questions about where these Godzilla shoes are made and if they are sold. On that note, These shoes are made under our brand. And there may be opportunities for sales. Could you please spread the word, if you would?” Essentially, it sounds like if you let them know how great the demand for them is , they may be made available for wider purchase.
I’m not the biggest Godzilla fan, I enjoyed what I watched but there is so much more to be discovered that I would even like a couple. Let’s just hope they don’t cost as much to buy as they do across the city.
