I don’t know if this is just a coincidence or if the Bengals are trying to gain a deeper understanding of the mental makeup of the people they are bringing into the organization. Still, I’m impressed with the way these guys behave. Max Clark is 19 years old. He is 19 years old and even from a younger age he has been an internet star on social media. This essentially means he was a child actor, which scares me because we know what happens to child actors sometimes, but Max Clark seemed to take it all in stride. He is a good boy.
I love this guy’s competitive spirit. His performance in the minor leagues last year has nothing to do with me. Here’s an 18-year-old kid who’s just getting into professional baseball, and he’s pissed about it. I know there are people who can’t stand analytics and technology and react to it like a vampire would when someone puts a cross in front of them, but having these weapons makes you a better person. The fact that a 19-year-old is so savvy and well-versed in the world gives him an advantage. That’s one of the big reasons why the Tigers took him third overall. Obviously, the ceiling is very high, but he appears to be a player who can adjust very easily, which is what he’ll need as he moves up through the minor leagues.
“Chris and Company” continues to air. At some point in the future we may scale back to one day a week. We’ll see how hard it is for me to book an interview, but for now, we’ll be back on Friday with Lions safety Kerby Joseph. He’s the first Detroit Lion to be on our show, so that should be interesting. Be sure to like and subscribe to Rumble and YouTube. All “Chris and Company” content can be found here.
