Stardew Valley You’ll be receiving update 1.6 soon, and apparently you can drink mayonnaise.
Look, I love mayonnaise. I know a lot of people in the US use it primarily for sandwiches, but it’s just the best condiment for French fries and fried chicken. It comes in countless varieties and flavors, and even bog standard mayonnaise varies from country to country. I realize I’m being too cheesy to say this, but I have five different kinds in my fridge right now, so there are different types depending on what I need. However, discovering that Stardew Valley’s next update will make you… drink… mayonnaise… filled me with a level of dread I’d never experienced before.

You see, the game’s 1.6 update is set to release tomorrow (March 19), and the game’s creator Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) has been tweeting out random patch notes in the days leading up to the release. These include bug fixes such as harvesting faster from left to right than from left to right, spouses getting a “honeymoon” period, and things like pickles or jelly being colored differently depending on the ingredients. For some reason, the patch notes that Barone decided to share two days before the update was released were “You can now drink mayonnaise.”

Normally I don’t want to disgust anyone with delicious food, but if you drink mayonnaise, you’re a sinner. this is not right! It’s not a liquid! If we have a weird technicality about this, it’s something called a colloid, you don’t hear people going around saying “let me take a sip of my colloid” do you? I beg you, don’t drink mayonnaise, either in real life or in Stardew Valley. Many things in life are possible, but that doesn’t mean we need to do them all.
The worst part is that a lot of things in 1.6 are currently a secret, so one of the only things we know is that you can drink mayonnaise. So when you get the update tomorrow, maybe at least try to figure out what the new content is before you head straight to the fridge for eggs and oil sauce.
