long awaited Stardew Valley The 1.6 update was released yesterday, and many players are excited to enter the game and experience the new content.
On Steam, the release of the update helped Stardew Valley reach 147,612 concurrent players, a 139.3% increase from the game’s previous all-time high of 94,879 in January 2021. This number would be even higher if players who purchased the game through GOG were included.
In addition to the news about the number of players, there is also news like this: flash shifteris the creator of the popular mod Stardew Valley Expanded, and helped develop the 1.6 update alongside game creator Eric “ConceredApe” Barone. FlashShifter announces the news on Xalso confirmed that a patch making the Stardew Valley expansion fully compatible with the update has been released, along with some new features.
In more Stardew Valley news, ConcernedApe has released its first post-launch patch to fix some bugs that were not discovered before the update was released. Notes for patch 1.6.1 are as follows.

- Fixed botched German Egg mission text (for future new players)
- Prevent the animal page from crashing when the scroll bar is clicked when the number of animals is small
- Fixed an issue where Junimo harvester crashed when saving
- Fixed an issue with the Meadowlands Farm mission remaining after selecting the farm icon, but then launching another farm
- Fixed phone Robin House upgrade issue with incorrect format
- Improved a situation where quest titles could extend beyond the edge of the quest log
- Fixed an issue where eyebrow accessories looked weird when fishing
- Setting the clipboard to an empty string is not allowed
- Fixed a crash on farm workers when reconnecting to town during green rain (and possibly other related crashes)
- Fixed several map tile issues and where feeds could go out of range
